About the Festival

Muskoka Music Festival was launched in 2017 as a Not-For-Profit community festival with the mandate to celebrate the past and future of Gravenhurst by bringing world class entertainment to the town. The festival team works tirelessly to find funding to ensure the concerts are affordable for all and to represent the Canada we are proud of on our stages and on our board. Since its inception, the festival has welcomed over 150 diverse artists and bands to Gravenhurst - both new discoveries and familiar favourites. The festival encourages locals and visitors to discover and take advantage of the many wonderful stores and restaurants in historic downtown Gravenhurst. From day one, the festival has been female led and artist-friendly.

Miranda has deep roots in Muskoka. Her Great-Great Grandfather was Charles Mickle, who owned the sawmill that gave the town the nickname “Sawdust City” and had the Opera House built when he was Mayor of Gravenhurst. He believed that the Arts bring people together and Miranda is carrying on this legacy.
